NEW HORIZONS
The goal of New Horizons High School is to provide an alternative education for secondary at-risk students.
New Horizons became a true alternative high school. For the first time students had a choice of where they could receive their high school education in Sikeston. New Horizons served students who desired a smaller learning environment, flexible scheduling, and various options for earning the credits required for graduation. Hundreds of students, many of whom were at risk of dropping out of school, have graduated through the New Horizons program. New Horizons contributes nearly one-quarter of the Sikeston graduates annually averaging over 40 graduates per year and proudly boasts a high-water mark of 54 graduates in 2013. Over the course of 13 years New Horizons has helped 544 students receive their high school diplomas!
